01/ Overview
The route
This varied run crosses fields and zigzags through forests from the Mostelberg mountain station down to Sattel. Night sledging is available on Saturdays. The world's first revolving gondola takes guests to the starting point.
At the Mostelberg mountain station, the descent begins at its highest point, 1,180 m above sea level, near Engelstock. The Sattel Mostelberg (Bergstat.) stop is right beside the start. From here, the route heads directly downhill. At first, the toboggan run descends through open terrain before increasingly entering the forest.
Over its roughly two kilometres, the route loses around 400 metres in elevation. After the open upper section comes the longer, tree-lined stretch towards Sattel. The descent continues steadily downhill, reaching the edge of the built-up area only towards the end. After just under half an hour, the Sattel (Talstat. Hochstuckli) stop lies right beside the finish at the Mostelberg valley station.
