01/ Overview
The route
Sledging fans of all ages get their money's worth on the machine-groomed Laucheren toboggan run. They'll need to adapt their technique constantly to cope with the alternating steep and flat passages. On the leisurely sections, they can enjoy a wonderful view of Oberiberg.
From the Steinboden stop, the descent begins almost at the highest point of the route, at just under 1,500 m near Laucherenstöckli. The start is only a few steps from the stop. Over the next three kilometres, the sledging run descends around 400 metres. From the outset, it leads downhill across open terrain. Meadows and pastures characterise the short route, and the marked loss in elevation soon becomes apparent.
Further down, the route approaches the houses of Oberiberg. Shortly before the finish, it passes Snackbar 13ni, just a few steps from the run. A little over 40 minutes is indicated for the entire descent. The terrain remains open on the final section before the sledging run reaches the valley floor and ends a few steps from the Oberiberg, Talstation stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
