The route
Follow the muleteers’ trail through the snowy Dischmatal valley from Davos Dorf to the Teufi. This winter hike is a dream for anyone seeking a peaceful and romantic experience.
The starting point in Davos Bünda lies somewhat away from public transport; it is around 350 metres from the Davos Dorf stop to the start. From there, the winter hike leads out of the built-up area and climbs steadily across open terrain. Over five kilometres, it gains around 160 metres in elevation, with virtually no intermediate ascent or prolonged descent.
The route maintains its course across the broad open landscape and steadily gains height. Towards the end, the houses draw closer again near Hof; after that, the trail continues uphill. The route remains on an ascent almost throughout until the destination. After a little over an hour and a half, the highest point is reached at around 1'700 m. A few steps later, the winter hike ends in Davos, directly at the Davos Dischma, Teufi stop.
