Discover the landscape of Davos and the original hamlets of Frauenkirch and Glaris ond this easy winter hiking trail, walking past tipical houses of the Walser.

From the Davos Frauenkirch, Landhaus bus stop, it is only a few steps to the starting point in Frauenkirch. Right at the beginning, the route passes the Landhuus Frauenkirch. The winter hiking trail then leaves the houses behind and climbs gently through open meadows.

Over the next few kilometres, short ascents alternate with flatter sections. With no major differences in elevation, the route gains around 130 metres in total. After just over three kilometres, the final ascent leads to the highest point at just under 1,600 m, near the Alteingrat. From here, the trail descends towards Davos Glaris, with the open terrain gradually giving way to the first houses.

In the village, the winter hike passes close to the Reformed Church of St Nicholas, which is protected as a cantonal monument. A little later, the approximately five-kilometre route ends in Davos Glaris. It is just over 100 metres to the Davos Glaris, Ortolfi bus stop; around one and a half hours should be allowed for the entire route.
