01/ Overview
The route
Pleasant winter hike through snowy forests to a viewing point with a dizzying view of the famous Landwasser Viaduct and down below to the Landwasser River. Take the same route back with firm ground underfoot.
From the Filisur stop, this short winter hike begins almost immediately beside the railway station. Near s’Bahnhöfli, the route leaves the houses behind and enters the forest. The ascent, at around 90 metres, is manageable but climbs steadily. After just under one kilometre, the route reaches its highest point near Got Davains at around 1,090 m.
From there, it continues through forest and across open terrain to the SĂĽd Acatos viewing platform at the Landwasser Viaduct. Located directly on the route, it marks the distinctive turning point of this short hike. The trail then descends again, initially between trees and later along the edge of the open areas. The first houses of Filisur come into view over the final few metres. After a total of around two kilometres and just under an hour, the winter hike ends back at the Filisur stop.
