01/ Overview
The route
Enjoy a toboggan ride from Mt. Eggli to Gstaad. Your constant companion will be the amazing panoramic view that includes the Sanetsch and Spitzhorn.
From the Eggli (Gstaad) stop, it is only a few steps to the start of the toboggan run. Almost immediately after setting off, the route reaches its highest point at around 1,560 m, close to Muttehubel. From here, the five-kilometre descent leads down into the valley, losing around 500 metres in elevation. At first, the scenery is characterised by open meadows and pastures.
The slope remains open for long stretches before the route enters the forest further down. Open areas and wooded slopes alternate until near the end. After just over an hour, the valley floor is reached. The final metres lead to Gstaad, Bode, where the toboggan run ends at around 1,060 m. The Grund b. Gstaad, Moosfangbrücke stop is only around 130 m from the finish.
