01/ Overview
The route
Zip from the Leiterli mountain station to the Stoss intermediate station – this sledge run is fun for the entire family. It also gets plenty of snow, thanks to its altitude. The course through open terrain offers magnificent panoramic views of the Wildstrubel.
The roughly three-kilometre descent begins at the Leiterli mountain station at just under 1,940 m, the highest point on the route. Berghaus Leiterli stands right by the start. The summit of Leiterli, which gives the run its name and is the highest point on the Betelberg, lies a little off the route. From here, the sledging run heads downhill across open terrain, with the broad slopes of the Betelberg dominating the landscape.
After the first section, the route passes Berghaus Betelberg. The descent then continues across open slopes, covering around 300 vertical metres in total. The open landscape is barely interrupted by woodland or settlements, and the view remains focused across the slopes towards Lenk.
After around 40 minutes, the sledging run ends at Stoss at approximately 1,640 m. The Lenk Stoss stop is located immediately beside the finish.
