01/ Overview
The route
Many long straight stretches make the Hornberg Run an easy toboggan run. With only two somewhat challenging curves, it is perfect for families and beginners. The relaxing descent goes from the Hornberg to the chalet village Sannenmöser.
It is only a few steps from the Hornberg stop to the start of the toboggan run. At around 1'810 m, this is also its highest point. The terrain opens up immediately after the start; the Hornfluh rises to one side above the broad slopes, while the Hornberg reservoir lies slightly off the route.
The three-kilometre descent drops around 540 metres in elevation and runs almost entirely across open slopes. The toboggan run winds downhill, initially high above Saanenmöser, then gradually draws closer to the houses. The ride takes around 40 minutes, quickly leading from the open mountainside down into the village. In the lower section, the houses become more densely spaced, and the descent ends in Saanenmöser. From there, it is again only a few steps to the Saanenmöser (Talstation) stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
