01/ Overview
The route
Puzzles about everyday life on the alp, open pastures and playful activity stations accompany this pushchair-friendly family hike from Klewenalp down to Stockhütte.
From the Klewenalp mountain station, the pushchair-friendly hiking trail initially leads past the Klewenkapelle. Shortly after the start, the route reaches its highest point at just under 1,600 m, while the 1,748 m Klewenstock towers above the alp. The Goldi-Gwundernasen Trail centres on everyday life on the alp: playful stations featuring Goldi and Flöckli the goat explore alpine animals, the ceremonial descent from the alp and animal bells.
The broad trail then crosses open alpine pastures and descends towards the Ängibach. The Ängi barbecue site is a good place for a break before the route continues downhill via Twäregg. A wooden ball is needed for two of the puzzle stations; the puzzle booklet is not required to solve them. Farther on, the trail alternates between pastures and forest, with a total descent of just over 300 metres.
Shortly before the finish, Alpgädeli offers refreshments directly beside the trail. A little later, the hike of just under two hours ends at the Stockhütte mountain station, where a wooden ball run, treetop trail and playground await.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
