01/ Overview
The route
By aerial gondola up to Foppa, then gently downhill again – the panoramic trail leads beneath the Flimserstein to Fidaz. On the way: lovely Alpine huts, mountain pastures and fantastic views of the valley and the mountains.
The winter hike begins at the Foppa stop, on the open heights above Flims. After a short ascent, the highest point is reached at around 1,420 m. From there, the route leads almost entirely downhill, initially across meadows and pastures. Restaurant Foppa lies slightly away from the starting point, while Piz Aulta rises in the wider surroundings. A little over an hour should be allowed for the four-kilometre route, which involves just under 300 metres of descent.
The winter hiking trail soon enters the forest. It steadily loses elevation among the trees before later returning to the edge of open terrain. After just under three kilometres, the Haldenhaus stands directly on the route. On the final section, the trail approaches the first houses of Fidaz and ends at the Fidaz, Pinut stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Winter hiking is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
