Rundweg Flimserwald

On this short circular tour through the fairytale Flims forest you will gain some impressions of the landscape around Flims, which is shaped by rockslides. A unique view of the Rhine Gorge awaits you at Conn. This winter hiking trail is also suitable for novices and families.

This winter hike of around ten kilometres begins at the Flimser Bergbahnen, just a few steps from the Flims Dorf, Bergbahnen bus stop. Beyond the first houses, the route enters the forest. Gentle descents alternate with short counter-ascents until, after a little over an hour, the lowest point of the circuit is reached.

The Conn-Bächli now accompanies the trail through the forest. The route passes directly by the Conn excursion restaurant; shortly afterwards, the Plaunca dall'Isla viewpoint lies right beside the trail. The stream remains close by for several kilometres. Caumasee, whose water level fluctuates over the course of the year, lies a little way off in the forest and is not reached directly.

Towards the end, the circuit leads through the Waldhaus district and back to Flims. It climbs once more, reaching its highest point at around 1,100 m. After a little over three hours, the winter hike ends back at the Flimser Bergbahnen and the nearby bus stop.
