01/ Overview
The route
A real hidden gem of the idyllic mountain landscape of the Kandertal valley. Absolute hightlight: the Tschingellake with its 300m width and 800m length, which was created in 1972 during a stormy night.
The approximately five-hour snowshoe tour starts at the Kiental, Ramslauenen bus stop. It leaves the houses of Kiental behind and climbs across open meadows before sections of woodland begin to accompany the route. Over the first three kilometres, the ascent leads past Nolle to the highest point of the circuit, at around 1,200 m.
The route then descends through alternating open terrain and woodland. Occasional rocky sections characterise the surroundings, while the landscape repeatedly opens up between the trees. Beyond Kiental Tschingel vorne, the final third remains, leading back down the valley. Over a total distance of eleven kilometres, the route involves around 400 metres of ascent and descent. After about five hours, the circuit ends back in Kiental, just a few steps from the Kiental, Ramslauenen bus stop.
