01/ Overview
The route
Slightly hilly and sunny track above the golf court of Maran. Enjoy a nice view on the mountain landscape of Arosa and Schanfigg from this open and treeless area.
The start in Maran is just a few steps from the Arosa, Langlauf/Golf stop. The two-kilometre trail follows a short circuit across open terrain above Arosa. It initially descends gently before beginning to climb. The Obersee lies just under 400 metres away and is not reached directly.
With around 50 metres of ascent in total, the profile remains moderately undulating. Just over halfway round, the trail reaches its highest point at around 1,850 m, near the Maraner Hauptji. It then descends again and approaches the houses of Maran. Towards the end, it completes the loop across the same open terrain and returns after just over half an hour to the starting point at Arosa, Maran; the stop is just under 100 metres away.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
