01/ Overview
The route
The approximately twelve kilometers from Parpan to Capfeders promise a lot of sun and a varied terrain in a wide natural landscape. This tour is suitable for well-trained skiers. Up tp the Mittelberg it is also recommended for beginners.
From the Parpan, Post bus stop, it is just over 200 metres to the cross-country skiing centre. The twelve-kilometre circuit begins there on the edge of the village. The Schlössli, built around 1550, and the Reformed church are nearby, while the trail soon heads out into open countryside. It leads across meadows and pastures, steadily undulating away from the residential area.
After the first third, the broad loop continues across open terrain. The climbs are spread throughout the circuit, adding up to a total elevation gain of around 260 metres. After just over seven kilometres, the trail reaches its highest point near Haupt at around 1'550 m. It then turns back towards Parpan, gently losing elevation over rolling terrain. After a little over three hours, the first houses come into view, and the circuit ends back at the cross-country skiing centre, not far from the Parpan, Post bus stop.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Cross-country skiing is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
