01/ Overview
The route
A sunny winter walk with views of Disentis, going across open fields and through the little village of Segnas with its lovingly preserved Walser houses.
The winter hike begins at the Acla da Fontauna, center sport stop in Funs, a district of Disentis. The circular route initially leads between the houses and out to open meadows. After a short downhill section, the ascent begins, continuing via Clavaniev to Acletta. The settlements remain close by, but the landscape opens up time and again between them.
In Acletta, the Roman Catholic chapel of Maria Immaculata stands slightly off the route. The winter trail then continues uphill. After just under four kilometres, it reaches its highest point near Bostg at around 1'340 m; the total ascent is approximately 240 metres. The route now turns back and gradually loses elevation.
In the final third, open areas alternate with houses on the outskirts of Disentis. La Caplutta lies directly on the route. From there, the final section leads back to Funs and the nearby Acla da Fontauna, center sport stop, reached again after just over two hours.
