01/ Overview
The route
The Campo Blenio path, a circular trail which is not particularly difficult, is ideal for a good walk in the winter landscape of the sun-drenched Blenio Valley, the ideal location typically chosen by those who wish to spend a snowy day with their families.
From the Campo (Blenio), Paese bus stop, it is only a few steps to the starting point in Campo Blenio. The short winter hike leaves the houses behind and initially crosses open terrain. With a total ascent of around 40 metres, the gradient remains gentle; after about one kilometre, the highest point of the route has already been reached at just over 1,200 metres. Sosto is the nearest peak.
The route then turns back towards the village. Meadows and pastures continue to shape the scenery before the trail enters the forest near the end. Close to the turning point are Parco Saracino and, a little off the route, the Chiesa dei Santi Martino e Giorgio. After around two kilometres and approximately 40 minutes, the loop ends back in Campo Blenio; from the finishing point, it is around 200 metres to the Campo (Blenio), Paese bus stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Winter hiking is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
