The route
There’s the sound of crunching snow in the air on Muottas Muragl among the pine trees and the larch trees with their own dusting of snow…
From the Muottas Muragl stop, it is only a few steps to the start at around 2,450 m. The Muottas Muragl restaurant is right beside it. From here, the sledging run heads downhill. The four-kilometre descent initially crosses open terrain, and the high starting point is soon left behind. The run thus begins practically at the highest point of the route.
Further down, the forest draws closer and shapes the lower section of the route. By Punt Muragl, the route has descended around 660 vertical metres in total, alternating between open slopes and wooded sections. After just under an hour, the run ends at about 1,800 m in Pontresina, Punt Muragl. The nearest public transport stop, Punt Muragl (Talstation), is just over 300 m from the end point.
