Schlittelweg Bivio

Tobogganing of a different kind: The ski lift pulls the tobogganists on the «Pistenbock» up the steep lift route to the mid-station Camon. The more than two kilometres back to Bivio are curvy and fast. Only the views across the landscape to the Julier Pass are tempting to have stopover every now and then.

The sledge run begins at the Camon mid-station at around 2,190 m, the highest point on the route. Motta Balotta lies slightly off the route. The starting point is not served by public transport; the nearest stop, Bivio, posta, is just under two kilometres away. From here, the two-kilometre descent sets off across open slopes, dropping around 420 metres over a short distance.

The run remains in open terrain, with no wooded sections or lengthy uphill stretches to interrupt the momentum towards the valley. As Bivio draws nearer, the village houses come increasingly clearly into view. The listed Reformed church stands slightly off the route. After just under half an hour, the valley station is reached at around 1,770 m. The Bivio, posta stop is only about 230 m from the finish.
