01/ Overview
The route
Zoom down the sunny slopes on your toboggan at Andermatt as you enjoy the view over the romantic Ursern Valley – in the winter months, the adrenaline flows freely on the snow-covered and scenic Oberalp Pass road.
From the Nätschen stop, it is only a few minutes’ walk to the start. The five-kilometre sledging descent begins at just under 1'900 m; the starting point is also the highest point of the route. From here, the sledging run heads downhill across open terrain. For a long stretch, the descent remains well away from the houses, which only come into view later on. From Nätschen, the route descends around 460 metres over the course of just over an hour to the village in the valley.
Towards the end, the route reaches the built-up area of Andermatt. A little way off the route stands the Maria Hilf pilgrimage chapel, built in 1735/1736. Shortly before the finish, by the first houses, the sledging run passes the Soldatenhaus. A few steps later, the sledging descent ends in Andermatt, close to the Andermatt (Gondelbahn Gütsch) stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
