01/ Overview
The route
Situated at the heart of the sun-drenched Blenio Valley, the sledge track of Nara runs down snow-covered slopes, conifer forests and typical stone housing units.
The descent on Pian Nara begins at the Alpe di Nara stop, almost at the highest point of the route. The sledging trail starts at just under 1'940 m and initially crosses open slopes. Cancori is around four kilometres away, with a descent of 480 metres. The ride takes just under an hour.
After the open start, the forest draws closer and accompanies the route for a longer stretch. In the second half, the descent reaches the houses of Promesciallo, followed shortly afterwards by Addi. From there, it continues downhill towards Cancori, with the forest now defining the surroundings. The La Pernice mountain restaurant lies slightly off the route shortly before the finish. The sledging trail ends by the houses of Cancori; the Cancorì stop is just a few steps away.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
Sledding is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
