01/ Overview
The route
A gentle hike through Lucerne’s rolling farmland, with natural-surface paths, shady stretches of woodland and changing views across meadows, fields and scattered farms.
From Nebikon railway station, the yellow-marked hiking trail leads out of the village and follows the Luthern for a short distance. Fields, meadows and isolated farms soon dominate the landscape. The route winds gently up and down through Lucerne’s rolling countryside, with shady stretches of woodland repeatedly breaking up the open terrain. Natural-surface paths characterise much of the route between the small settlements.
Ebersecken is reached around halfway through the hike. The Landgasthof Sonne provides an opportunity for a refreshment stop before the trail continues via Kället and through the area around Unterer and Oberer Schlämpen. Changing views across the farmland accompany the gradual ascent.
Towards the end, the trail climbs to its highest point at around 735 m near Salberig. It then descends gently to Fischbach. After just over twelve kilometres and around three and a half hours, the hike ends at the Fischbach, Krone bus stop.

Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
