Parcours Corbetta

The charm of snow-covered mountain chalets and a view over Lake Geneva make this circular walk an unmissable experience in the Pre-Alps region. The path winds through the clearing and between La Mayetta and La Vuichouda pastures before climbing up to the summit of the Corbetta.

The starting point of the snowshoe tour is just a few steps from the Les Paccots, Les Rosalys bus stop. Leaving the houses behind, the circuit climbs alternately across open slopes and through forest. Just under 300 metres of elevation are gained before reaching the highest point, while the total ascent amounts to around 400 metres. After a little over two hours, the route reaches Corbetta, a summit in the Fribourg Pre-Alps. At around 1,400 metres, this is the highest point.

From Corbetta, the snowshoe route descends again, initially remaining in open terrain. The forest then draws closer before Lac des Joncs comes into view. The route passes close by this mountain lake above Les Paccots and continues downhill towards Rosalys. Near Restaurant L'Automate, the final section begins, leading between woodland and open ground back to the first houses. After around seven kilometres and a little over three and a half hours, the circuit ends back at the Les Paccots, Les Rosalys bus stop.
