The route
From the bustling Rossberg ski area, you are plunged immediately into a tranquil little fairytale world. First, take time to enjoy the mood in the forest; and then a small valley opens up with views of the Oberwil mountains: pure nature!
The snowshoe tour begins and ends at Rossberg above Oberwil. The starting point is not served by public transport; the nearest stop, Oberwil i.S., Heidenweidli, is around 2 kilometres away.
Open slopes and stretches of forest characterise the five-kilometre circuit. With a total ascent of around 300 metres, the route climbs steadily. After just under three kilometres, it reaches its highest point near Buufal at around 1,400 m. From there, the descent leads back to Rossberg through the same landscape of pastures and forest.
