Schneeschuhtrail Badegg–Luthern Bad

This easy-going trail, relatively flat, leads from the Luthern Bad place of pilgrimage, past a yurt village and on through the delightful Napf hills. The return leg via Alp Badegg with its views over the Luther valley features the Badbrünnli 'place of power' with its mystical arm and foot baths.

The snowshoe tour begins in the heart of the village at the Luthern Bad, Dreilindenplatz bus stop. The Maria-Heilbronn pilgrimage church and the Gasthaus Hirschen are right by the starting point. The route then leaves the houses behind and heads out onto open meadows. It climbs steadily over the initial ascent; the roughly four-kilometre circuit involves a total elevation gain of around 160 metres.

Further on, the forest draws closer and characterises the quieter section of the circuit. After just under three kilometres, the highest point is reached at around 1,020 m. From here, the route descends again towards Luthern Bad. It leads back between woodland and open terrain to the first houses, the pilgrimage church and finally Dreilindenplatz. After a little over an hour and a half, the snowshoe tour ends back at Dreilindenplatz, immediately beside the bus stop.
