01/ Overview
The route
This stage goes past small Oberland municipalities in Grisons such as Capaul, Capeder and Casu. The Sant’Onna chapel in Trun is steeped in history. Brigels is a friendly family holiday destination. Attractive view from Adlerstein on the edge of the village.
The starting point is just a few steps from the Sumvitg, vitg bus stop. The hike leaves Sumvitg by the church of Sogn Gion Battesta e Mudest and follows the mountain trail marked in white-red-white. It initially descends via Runs to Rabius, where the route reaches its lowest section before gaining height again.
Open meadows and pastures characterise the longer middle section. Stretches of woodland and small settlements add variety along the way; the constant ups and downs amount to a total ascent of around 900 metres. In Schlans, the route passes the Catholic church of Sogn Gieri.
Beyond Dardin, the mountain trail steepens once more. The highest point, at around 1,280 m, is not reached until Breil/Brigels. After 14 km and a little over four and a half hours, the hike ends at the Breil/Brigels, casa communala bus stop.

Am vergangenen Freitagabend zog ein heftiges Gewitter über die Gemeinde Trun. Dabei ging ein grosser Murgang in der Val Zinzera nieder, infolgedessen ist der Wanderweg nicht mehr passierbar.
