01/ Overview
The route
From Rossens' dam, climb towards the Pont-la-Ville golf course with views across the lake and Alpine foothills to Gibloux. Take a rest at La Roche port. Return via Hauteville on footpaths, roads suitable for motor vehicles and tarmacked roads, discovering farms and buildings that are characteristic of La Gruyère.
The hike begins in Rossens, directly beside Lac de la Gruyère, a reservoir on the Saane. The starting point is some distance from public transport; it is around 600 m from the Rossens FR, village stop. From the lakeshore, the yellow-waymarked hiking trail climbs through open meadows and patches of woodland. Near La Combert, it reaches the highest point of the route at around 760 m.
The route then continues to Pont-la-Ville, passing close to its church. This is followed by a varied section through the gently rolling landscape above the lake. Pastures, fields and small stretches of woodland alternate, with no long or steep climbs. For a short stretch, the trail runs alongside the Ruisseau des Bélenets.
The hike continues via Hauteville to Corbières. The destination is reached after 14 kilometres and just under four hours. The Corbières, Pont de Corbières stop is just under 200 m from the endpoint.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
