01/ Overview
The route
This route takes you from the Chrindi midway station past Lake Hinterstocken and then up to the idyllic Oberbärgli Alpine huts on Mount Lasenberg. A memorable experience of nature that will gradually make you forget the everyday routine.
It is only a few steps from the Chrindi stop to the starting point of this short winter hike. Right at the outset, the trail passes Hinterstockensee, below the Stockhorn and within the municipality of Erlenbach. The route initially runs close to the lake before emerging into open terrain, while the rocky Mieschflue rises away from the circuit.
After a short descent, the climb begins across broad, sparsely wooded slopes. Around 200 metres of elevation must be gained by roughly the halfway point. The highest point is reached at 1,785 m, with Solhore nearby and Furgge farther away. The route then descends again in a wide arc. Views remain unobstructed across the open terrain before Hinterstockensee draws closer once more. After a total of just over an hour, the circuit ends back at the starting point by the Chrindi stop.

03/ Conditions
Current conditions
What to know before you set off. Closures and snow are re-checked every day.
How we check: Every night we match the route against the official closures and detours from the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). Any reported closure that touches the route shows up here.
Winter hiking is more fun in the snow! Check local conditions before heading out.
How we check: SLF only publishes its snow maps from November 1. Until then we roughly estimate the snow depth at the lowest and the highest point of the route every day from the nearest SLF measuring stations. Check the situation on site.
