Wiriehorn-Schlittelweg

Sledging fun for all age groups awaits on the Wiriehorn at the heart of the Diemtigtal Nature Park. Race down this pine-tree flanked run from the top station of the chairlift to the valley below.

The sledging trail begins at Wiriehorn mountain station and the Diemtigen Nüegg stop. The Nüegg mountain restaurant stands right beside it. At around 1,420 m, this is already the highest point of the route. From the outset, the descent sweeps down the valley across open slopes. At first, the landscape remains expansive, before sections of forest begin to flank the trail and narrow the view.

After the upper section, the sledging trail approaches the houses of Zwischenflüh. The gradient gradually becomes gentler, and open areas once again alternate with woodland. Further down, the route passes through Enetchirl and heads towards Wiriehorn valley station. After around five kilometres, 440 metres of descent and a little over an hour, the destination is reached at just under 1,000 m. The Diemtigen Riedli stop is located directly beside the valley station.
