01/ Overview
The route
On Lake Hallwil, the lakeside circular trail combines peaceful shores, meadows and woodland with a visit to the Klosterhof winery. The gentle route leads from Meisterschwanden to Mosen in just over two hours.
The hike begins in Meisterschwanden at just under 490 metres, which is also the highest point on the route. From Delphinweg, it first descends past the first houses to Lake Hallwil. The route soon joins the lakeside circular trail, following a pleasant hiking path along the shore and skirting open meadows and short stretches of woodland. Seerose Selbstbedienung, located directly beside the trail, is an ideal spot for a first break.
Farther south, the lake remains a tranquil companion. On the way to Aesch, the Klosterhof winery takes centre stage. The estate includes its own winery at Klosterhof, with wine sold directly on the premises. The scenery alternates between the lakeshore, fields and the houses of Aesch, with no major climbs along the way.
In the final third, the trail once again crosses open ground and passes through wooded sections towards Mosen. After almost nine kilometres, the lakeside hike of just over two hours ends among the village houses; Mosen railway station is located right by the finish.

How we check: We look up a live public transport connection from your starting point to the stop closest to the trailhead. If it ends further away, the nearest stop may be a cable car or bus that isn't running right now.
How we check: Snow depth estimated daily at the lowest and the highest point of the route. Estimates: check the situation on site.
